GASOLINE inc's unique and eclectic sound can be attributed to each individual member's background, personality and influence. The five piece band is fronted by Brazilian born singer/songwriter Gabriel O'Brien, who's on-stage persona and charisma is nothing short of electric. Combining his serpentine moves and thrusts with a versatile vocal range and powerful delivery, Gabriel's energy will have a crowd buzzing within seconds. On lead guitar is the cool yet sometimes wild Andro Mestrovic. Andro has the unique abilty to make his guitar tell a story. A master of his skill and technically brilliant without being pretentious, Andro's guitar is a melodic extension of his soul. It oozes sensuality and feel. Matt Sofoulis is the rhythm guitarist and back-up vocalist of GASOLINE inc and is often credited with "holding the band together". Matt's guitar playing is a melting pot of funk, blues, rock n roll and heavy metal, and his impressive playing range is complimented by his equally impressive vocal range and power. The band's pulse comes from their loud and energetic drummer Zoran Blagaich. Zoran's personality reflects in his hard-hitting drumming. With driving beats, pounding fills and the ability to move effortlessly through any musical genre, Zoran's kit will send shock waves through the crowd. Bassist Tony Lindhjem (Tony the Crow), provides the groove that makes you move. Tony's influence stems from a background in jazz, funk and flamenco and his professionalism and relaxed nature gives GASOLINE inc the perfect balance needed to succeed.
The combined influence of each band member makes GASOLINE inc's music appeal to rock fans and non-rock fans alike. Their songs are laced with catchy vocal melodies, soaring riff driven guitar hooks and foot-tapping rhythms. Add to this mix an energetic live performance filled with raw power and charisma and you have the makings of a band that have the potential to not only make it to the top, but stay there for a long time.
GASOLINE inc have recently completed recording a four track, self-titled EP at Millapede Projects in East Fremantle. The opening song "Superstar" has already been utilized by Network 10 and ONE HD to promote the AFL Grand Final in September 2009. "Superstar" was received so well it is currently the theme song for TNA (Total Non Stop Action) Wrestling - with includes stars such as Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Scott Steiner and Kevin Nash.
