Margot & The Nuclear So And So's 是一支来自印第安那州， 印第安那波利斯市的独立乐队。第一次看到这个乐队的时候，它又长又奇怪的名字一下子让我记住了。在一次采访中，乐队的核心Richard Edwards开玩笑说，这个乐队的一部分名字是来自于他的女儿Margot（事实上他根本没有女儿!），另一部分则来自于布什总统在读“nuclear"这个词时的搞笑发音。最后，起这个名字的原因还因为Richard Edwards在加利福尼亚遇到了一名女孩，她好像叫"Margot E."……（对于Richard Edwards这个名字的玩笑，我真的很无语……）。



事实上，乐队的这个奇怪名字来自于Gwyneth Paltrow在电影“The Royal Tenenbaums”中饰演的一个角色。



这个乐队的风格，被他们自己定义为"chamber pop"，与独立乐队Arcade Fire的风格相似，使用了很多浑厚的古典乐器（比如钢琴、小提琴、小号），有大段的弦乐演奏，散发着一种高雅的气质。
