电影原声 - In The Valley Of Elah(决战以拉谷)

《决战以拉谷》原声由 Mark Isham 创作。

在《撞车》大放异彩之后，保罗·哈吉斯并没感到匮乏创作素材。哈吉斯曾对他的多位经纪人说：“你们认为不可行的，正是我想要的。”不久后，哈吉斯在《花花公子》杂志上看到了一篇名为《死亡与耻辱》的文章，作者马克·鲍尔（Mark Boal）讲述了一名伊战老兵回国后惨遭杀害的真实事件，为了给儿子伸张正义，他的父亲展开调查，而最终查明的凶手竟是儿子的三个战友。哈吉斯被这个悲剧故事打动了，希望将其改编成电影。



　　曾与哈吉斯合作10多年的制片人劳伦斯·贝克西（Laurence Becsey）说：“我们一直在寻找这种素材，这是个很有力的故事，是让所有人产生共鸣的难得平台。我们该如何维护正义？又该如何照看我们的家庭？”



　　随着想法日趋成熟，哈吉斯找到了克林特·伊斯特伍德，两人曾一起合作《百万宝贝》、《父辈的旗帜》和《硫磺岛来信》。伊斯特伍德非常支持哈吉斯，并将故事推荐给华纳兄弟公司。哈吉斯说：“如果回到2003年，没人愿意知道这个故事，所以没有克林特的支持这部影片的拍摄很难成行。”



　　哈吉斯对事件背景进行了深入研究，更多的故事随之显现，另外一起真实事件也被联系到一起。哈吉斯说：“不管你是否反战，我们都必须面对军人们在战场上的经历。我希望讲述的是一个好人不得不作出可怕决定的故事。”
