假如你所爱的人属於敌对政治集团，那该怎么办？本片以政治选举为故事背景，描写迈克儿基顿和吉娜·戴维斯在共堕爱河之后才发现他们分别为亚历桑纳州的不同参议员候选人撰写演讲稿，在紧崩的选情之外两人也为了公私身份的冲突而造成了感情的矛盾。



《爱得没话说》这部影片是1994年由米高梅电影公司投入巨资制作的一部爱情喜剧片。本片打破传统的叙事结构，让整个故事充满惊喜，而导演细腻地处理男女主角之间关系的转折，更使本片有别于一般的喜剧类型电影，而增添许多张力。

　　《爱得没话说》是朗·安德伍德最得意的作品之一，影片犀利的讽刺了美国议员竞选之中的黑暗内幕。这部动用了3000多个演员的影片一经面世便为他赢得了赞誉，雅俗共赏的喜剧氛围也博得了前所未有的关注和肯定，并成为多个国际电影节奖项的得主。
