电影原声 - Nicholas Nickleby(少爷返乡)

本片根据杰出的英国作家狄更斯名著改编。年幼时的尼古拉斯·尼克贝(查理·汉纳姆饰)享受着自由安逸的生活，父亲的突然死亡使一家人顿时陷入了赤贫，他们举家来到伦敦，寻求尼古拉斯的叔叔拉尔夫的帮助。

　　叔叔拉尔夫是一个冷酷而且利欲熏心的人。对于前来投奔的尼克贝一家，他只求能从他们身上最大程度的榨出油水来。

　　尼古拉斯被送进当地的一所学校，校长是拉尔夫的熟人沃克弗德(吉姆·布劳德本特饰)，一个残忍的以虐待人为乐的变态狂。最终，尼古拉斯不堪忍受这种环境，与另外一个被虐待的孩子史迈克(杰米·贝尔饰)出逃，寻求改变自己命运的希望之路。

　　一路上，他们曾被好心的巡游剧团团长文森特收留，也遇到慷慨的采瑞博兄弟，尼古拉斯还爱上了美丽的姑娘马德琳(安妮·海瑟薇饰)，尼古拉斯能最终获得成功，实现一家幸福团聚的理想么？



担任影片配乐的是英国的作曲家Rachel Portman，她是第一位也是唯一一位获得Oscar奖的女作曲家(凭借电影Emma的配乐)。该片配乐是Portman一贯擅长的古典风格，弦乐+双簧管，很优美的旋律，只是初听觉得和她其它几部电影配乐作品很相似。
