《黑暗侵袭2》的故事接着上一集的逃生者莎拉·诊卡特（肖娜·麦克唐纳德 饰）。浑身鲜血、精神恍惚的她被人救起，却对发生过的故事百口莫辩。为了调查真相，一队专家携莎拉重返洞穴。莎拉虽然恐惧，但是她必须勇敢面对着噩梦般的经历才可得到心灵上的救赎……



David Julyan为《黑暗侵袭》第一部创作了优秀的配乐，完美的烘托了这部阴暗，恐怖的惊险电影。David Julyan音乐的风格低沉，诡异，让人有喘不过气的感觉，很适合这类阴暗影片。他的作品还包括克里斯托弗诺兰的《记忆的碎片》和《顶尖对决》。看来大导演诺兰很喜欢他的音乐。
