《The Lovely Bones 可爱的骨头》根据艾丽斯·西伯德的畅销小说改编而成。故事发生在1973年，14岁的小女孩苏茜不幸被一位邻居强奸杀害。影片就是以升入天堂的苏西的视角，去关注此后她的家人与朋友们的动向，包括他们从最初期望苏茜生还，到后来得知噩耗，又如何克服悲伤，以及凶手运用何种手段来掩盖罪行等等。面对人间的种种，可怜的苏西不得不接受她已死亡的现实，但又眷恋着生者的世界，只能年复一年像幽灵一样跟随着她的家人。
