吉他兼歌手爱美萝．哈里斯1947年出生於美国阿拉巴马州，六○年代晚期以民谣歌手身份走唱於华盛顿特区，接着与乡村摇滚歌手Gram Parsons（曾待过Byrds与Flying Burrito Brothers合唱团）一起巡迴直到1973年Parsons去世为止。1975年之后爱美萝成立自己的伴奏乐团，开始在主流唱片公司发行个人专辑，二十多年来作品数量已超过20张，1975-81年间的连续8张专辑都被宣佈为金唱片，其中又以「Luxury Liner」、「Roses In The Snow」和「Evangeline」三张最具代表。
