伯特巴克瑞克谱写过500多首歌曲，他是史上唯一连续49年都有歌曲打进全美告示牌排行榜的艺人，其中包括48首打进TOP10的金曲，他的音乐作品成了不同世代对於浪漫情歌的雋永回忆。生涯坐拥3座奥斯卡、7座葛莱美奖，入列美国词曲创作家名人殿堂，举凡披头四、法兰克辛纳屈、芭芭拉史翠珊…都曾经灌录过他的作品，时至21世纪，他的歌曲依旧是歌唱选秀节目「American Idol」参赛者的最爱，同时成为「王牌大贱谍」系列、「蜘蛛人2」、「BJ单身日记-男人祸水」等电影的主题曲。历年代表作，除了罗南在此张专辑中所灌录的歌曲之外，还有木匠兄妹合唱团的"(They Long To Be) Close To You"，电影「虎豹小霸王」主题曲"Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head"，狄昂华薇克与艾尔顿强、史提夫汪达等人所合唱的冠军曲"That's What Friends Are For"。
罗南在2011年1月飞往洛杉磯，与儿时以来的永远偶像伯特巴克瑞克相约著名的Capitol录音室，展开专辑【When Ronan Met Burt】的录制，罗南在大编制的管弦乐团伴奏乐声中，进行出道以来难度最高的唱腔大挑战，选唱了膾炙人口的经典名曲，像是狄昂华薇克1964年TOP10招牌曲"Walk On By"，传奇歌后Dusty Springfield/达丝提史普林菲尔1964年英国金榜第3名畅销曲"I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself"以及1967年TOP40畅销曲"The Look Of Love"，流行歌手Christopher Cross/克里斯多夫克罗斯1982年为电影「二八佳人花公子」(*2011年电影「阿舍正传」的原始版)所演唱的奥斯卡得奖冠军曲"Arthur's Theme (The Best That You Can Do)"，流行女歌手Jackie DeShannon 1965年TOP 10成名曲"What The World Needs Now"，流行乡村传奇歌手Bobbie Gentry 1969年英国金榜冠军曲"I'll Never Fall In Love Again"…等，罗南在优雅、华丽的乐声感染下，慢慢融入歌曲的意境，让自己的歌声穿越时空，细致体现歌曲中所蕴藏的浪漫情怀，同时也重现流行音乐的迷人风采。
2011 release, a collaboration between Irish Pop star and Boyzone member Ronan Keating and legendary composer Burt Bacharach. A long time fan of Burt's staggering back catalog, Ronan is thrilled to be working with one of his all-time musical heroes on this very special collaboration. The Irish superstar first contacted Burt last year; he was ecstatic when the iconic composer and producer agreed for them to work together. Backed by a full orchestra, the result was a spectacular album recorded by the duo earlier this year. All the tracks featured are classics composed by Burt over the course of his impressive 50 year career and include instantly recognizable hits such as `Walk On By', `The Look Of Love', `What The World Needs Now Is Love' and `I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself'. All the tracks were recorded live with a full orchestra, ensuring that the grandeur and stature of these timeless classics was captured and conserved.
