SIMO - MOOD SCHULA

음악은 항상 새로운 테크놀로지라는 옷을 갈아입으며 변하는 듯 하지만 본질은 언제나 같다. 새로운 악기나 녹음 기술이 등장하더라도 음정과 박자라는 틀 안에서 스스로를 다듬고 있는 셈이다. 하지만, 달라지는 점이 있다면 음 하나하나를 합성하고 분해하며 변형시킴으로서 '소리, 혹은 음향(sound)'그 자체에 대한 극적인 변화가 가능해졌다는 점. 그리고 규칙에 맞춰놓은 음정과 박자가 아닌 보다 자유로운 표현이 이루어지고 있다는 점이다. 마치 16가지의 색만 표현 가능했던 과거와 다르게 16백만가지의 색상을 표현할 수 있는 디스플레이처럼.
