The Essential Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson与索尼音乐公司的于1991年签定的合约结束了吗？如果还没有，那也接近尾声了。



今年7月19日，索尼音乐公司旗下的Epic唱片公司将发行新一套双CD精选辑《精华杰克逊》（The Essential Michael Jackson）。 果Jackson最终成为了一个自由艺人，那么有兴趣的公司就会开始来找他谈判新的唱片合约，但基于现在的情况，开价不会太高。而Jackson自己的愿望则会是拿回他的金曲母带权。



无论如何，欧洲索尼音乐公司的前总裁Paul Burger指出，如果Jackson能录制出一张精彩的唱片的话，“任何唱片公司都会想要签下他，包括索尼/BMG。” 另外有消息称，该歌手正在认真考虑是否将和他的兄弟们进行巡演。不过关于在拉斯维加斯的回归演出的传言——依然还是传言而已。



此外，审判也宣传了Jackson的音乐，至少在一段时间内。根据尼尔森广播数据系统显示，Jackson音乐的播放率从宣判前的每天197次增加到宣判当天的1171次，增长率高达500%以上。
