Europe

Europe乐队1981年成立于瑞典.起初乐队名字叫"Force"(力量).由核心成员Joey Tempest(主唱)、John Norum(吉他) 和John Leven(贝斯)组成.在一次瑞典全国业余摇滚乐团大赛中获得冠军并得到一纸唱片合约.之后将乐队名 更改为Europe并在瑞典发行了两张专辑"Europe"和"Wings of Tomorrow".

乐队签约著名唱片公司Epic. 吉他手John Norum离队,Kee Marcello接替了他的位置.鼓手Ian Haughland与Michael Michaeli加入.
1986年,乐队发行专辑"The Final Countdown".在专辑中,Michael Michaeli的键盘成为乐队一大亮点.其深受欧洲古典艺术气息所影响而特有的优美旋律、融合重金属的爆发力、主唱高亢细致的嗓音以及简捷的曲式使他们大获成功.专辑也登上英国和美国排行榜前十名."The Final Countdown"、"Carrie"两首歌曲也获得最佳单曲.两年之后，专辑"Out of This World continued"再创佳绩.
1991年,乐队发行专辑"Prisoners of Paradise"之后解散.
2004年重组并发行专辑"Start From the Dark".
