The Innocence Mission 的中心成员，是 Karen Peris 与 Don Peris 这对相识於天主教高中唱诗班的夫妻档，再加上贝斯手Mike Bitts；自 1982 年成立以来，The Innocence 创造出的民谣乐音，清澈有如森林深处从未被人发现过的一流灵泉，沁入心脾；他们也曾和 Natalie Merchant、Sarah McLachlan、100000Maniacs 等着名团体合作，更被 Joni Mitchell 誉为最能打动她的一个民谣团体。
