Aerosmith是七十年代最流行的硬摇滚乐队之一，在乐队成立后的将近30年中，他们浑浊的重型布鲁斯风格为重金属和硬摇滚建立了一种标准。他们当初使用的配器风格(钢琴、管弦乐和失真吉他)至今仍是摇滚抒情曲的经典套路。Aerosmith在抒情和摇滚两方面均十分出色的能力使他们在七十年代中期极度流行。
