2005年推出第七张大碟推出之后，人气组合G.O.D便正式解散。在沉寂了一年后，成员孙浩英带着首张个人大碟重回乐坛，和众多的歌迷见面。为了令大碟更加完美，孙浩英放弃了他一直以来的歌唱技巧，跟随实力女歌手Park Sun Joo学习一重全新的发声方法，表现出一种与G.O.D时代完全不同的唱功。

《Son Ho Young Vol.1》包含不同音乐类型，主打歌“哭泣”便完全发挥了宽广的音域和出色的唱功的优美情歌。“Yes”则是Big Beat系的Funky作品。大碟也收入了他创作的作品，如负责作曲填词“Happy virus”、填词的“告白”等。
