第44届格莱美最佳RAP专辑



说唱组合Outkast合由出生于1975年5月27日的Dre和出生1975年2月2日的Big Boi组成。俩人的第一次见面是在亚特兰大城立高中，在他们毕业前，就已经和L.A.和Babyface的LaFace公司签定合约，并很快推出了单曲《Player's Ball》，为他们制作的是给TLC制作专辑的全部班底Organized Noise。这首单曲在1994年曾雄据Billboard说唱排行榜冠军位置达6周之久，也成为Outkast的第一张白金唱片。2000年万圣节，Outkast在他们最喜欢的发片的节日推出了《Stankonia》。很快这张专辑赢得了一致好评，销量轻松突破四白金，也再次吸引了更多的听众。而在第44届格莱美中，Outkast凭借这张专辑及其单曲《Ms. Jackson》得到了包括：“年度最佳唱片”、“年度最佳专辑”、“年度最佳Rap乐团”、“年度最佳Rap专辑”等5项提名，让同期所有流行音乐专辑光芒遮蔽。
